Our Mission Statement

Our Mission at Covington Street School is to provide our students with a well-rounded education. We at Covington Street School believe that it is our responsibility to provide a safe, comfortable learning environment that will help each child to develop his or her talents and capabilities to the fullest, and to develop a positive self-concept. Our aim is to challenge students to become responsible, independent learners who develop positive character traits that will enable them to reach educational goals they have set for themselves. Our focus will be to provide an educational program that takes our students beyond the basic skills.

Ms. Penny Killough and Ms. Carrie Lammonds were recently named Teacher of the Year and Teaching Assistant of the Year, respectively, at Covington St. Elementary School for the 2008-2009 school year.

I think that Covington Street School's website is a fun interactive website that allows you to spread your feelings about it and what you enjoy the most about it. It gives members a chance to learn about other people at their school such as their occupation and interests. Webmaster, keep the good work up!
